Topicly is an online learning service operated by Knowledge Quay for GCSE Maths learners in Years 9–11. It is preparing live group lessons that focus on one topic at a time, at £5 per named learner per lesson, with no subscription.
Our GCSE Maths revision guide is free to read without an account. Check the timetable for published sessions and booking availability.
Read the lesson and booking answersWe’re preparing one free first lesson per eligible learner profile, with up to three learner introductory places per verified adult mobile across Topicly accounts. When the offer opens, the first three eligible places can be reserved automatically after mobile verification, without a routine family review. No payment card or automatic renewal is required.
The offer is not open yet. Published lesson details will explain availability. After a learner’s introductory lesson, choose any further lesson individually at £5. Contact support for an incorrect limit or an exceptional replacement.

This is the experience we’re preparing for launch. One topic. One live lesson. A clear next step.
Look for the skill you want to understand: solving an equation, sharing in a ratio or another specific gap. Check the lesson’s tier and what you should already know.
A parent, carer or adult learner signs up and verifies their email. Add the named learner so their bookings and learning record stay together. Under-18s need an adult to manage the account.
Choose a published date when booking opens. Review the topic, tier, timings and cancellation terms, then pay £5 through secure checkout. A booking is for one learner; it does not start a subscription.
Find the lesson in My Lessons and join using the verified account linked to the booking. Have paper, a pen and a reliable internet connection ready. The lesson page will tell you when classroom entry opens.
Watch the tutor write each step on the digital board, try examples yourself and respond to understanding checks. Submit a question for review and vote on approved questions for the final Question Room.
We’re preparing linked KLEK practice and progress inside Topicly. Where a lesson includes it, answer the follow-up questions, review mistakes and see what to revisit. Each lesson listing will confirm the available materials.
Students hear the tutor and follow the shared digital board. Learner cameras and microphones stay off, with no student-to-student chat.
2x + 5 = 17
The tutor writes with a digital pen and talks through the working. The shared board makes it easier to follow the method, rather than just seeing a final answer.
Checks planned at roughly 15-minute intervals give three choices: understood, partly understood or not understood. The group response helps the tutor choose an explanation again, a short recap or the next example. The tutor makes the final decision.
The lesson timer counts upwards from the start. Students respond to the tutor as a group through structured activities; there is no open microphone queue or public conversation between learners.
The optional Question Room gives the class more time with the tutor at no extra charge. Submit your question privately. A moderator checks that it is appropriate and relevant to the lesson before it can appear for voting.
Vote on approved questions, then listen as the tutor explains the most popular ones to the whole class. It is a 15-minute session, rather than a fixed number of answers: short questions may leave time for more; longer explanations may mean fewer.
Approved questions appear without learner names. There is no public chat, and not every question will be covered.
Start with a question you couldn’t finish. Was the difficult part choosing a method, working with fractions or keeping an equation balanced? Naming that step makes your next revision session more specific.
Read the GCSE Maths revision guideWorked examples, common mistakes and short practice questions with answers. No sign-up needed.
KLEK is the practice engine we’re connecting to Topicly. The aim is a single place to book the lesson, practise the topic and review the learner’s progress.
Look at the questions you missed. Return to the worked example and practise the difficult step before attempting more of the same topic.
Check signs, units and calculations. More focused practice can help you distinguish an arithmetic mistake from a gap in understanding.
Check whether you can explain why the method works, then revisit the skill later or choose a different topic. One good result is useful feedback, rather than a guarantee of exam performance.
Follow-up practice is being prepared and is not open yet. These are examples of how to use practice feedback; they are not fixed score thresholds or an automated assessment of ability.
Sometimes you just need someone to explain the topic that did not click.
Catch up after an absence, revisit an explanation or work through a particular misconception. Choose the topic you need without committing to regular tuition.
Topicly is operated by Knowledge Quay. Each £5 booking covers one named learner in one live group lesson. It never starts a subscription.
Find a specific revision gapThe practical details should be clear before you reserve a place.
Check Foundation or Higher, the prerequisites, learning goals, lesson length and UK start time. Topicly supports school learning; it does not replace school teaching or decide your exam tier.

You do not need to turn on a camera or microphone.

The lessons are for learners in Years 9–11 studying GCSE Maths. An adult makes the booking. Check each lesson’s topic, tier and prerequisites to decide whether it suits the learner. A-level lessons are coming soon and are not open for booking.
A £5 booking covers one named learner in one scheduled, tutor-led online group lesson. The optional 15-minute Question Room is included at no extra charge. Check the lesson page for the core lesson length and any listed materials.
No. You choose a specific lesson and pay for that lesson. There is no subscription and no requirement to book regular tuition.
We’re preparing one free first lesson per eligible learner profile, with a shared limit of three learner introductory places per verified adult mobile across Topicly accounts. It is not open yet. When available, an adult signs in, adds the learner, verifies the mobile and reserves one eligible session. The first three eligible places do not need routine staff approval. No payment card or automatic renewal is required. Changing accounts or email aliases does not reset the allowance for the same mobile. See the free-lesson details for availability and exceptional support cases.
An adult manages bookings for under-18s, receives important service information and keeps each named learner’s lessons and progress together. Classroom access is linked to that account and learner. Do not share sign-in details with another household.
Students respond through lesson polls and understanding checks. For the Question Room, they submit questions privately and vote on moderator-approved questions. The tutor answers the group; learner names are not shown on the question board and there is no public chat. The tutor covers as many questions as the 15 minutes allow.
No. Learner cameras and microphones stay off. Students watch the tutor’s explanation and take part using the classroom’s on-screen questions and polls.
Ask the learner’s school if you are unsure of their exam tier. Check the tier, learning goals and prerequisites on the lesson page. Our GCSE Maths revision guide can help you identify a specific skill to practise; it does not decide a learner’s tier.
There is no automatic recording. Check the individual lesson’s details for any materials available with the booking.
We’re preparing KLEK follow-up practice within Topicly, with answers and progress linked to the named learner. It is not open yet. The individual lesson page will confirm whether practice or other materials are included. Practice feedback can help identify what to revisit; it does not guarantee a grade.
Choose a published lesson when booking is available. An adult makes the booking, and classroom entry uses the verified Topicly account linked to the booking and learner. Booking information explains when and how to join.
For an ordinary change of plan, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start for a refund. Later cancellations and no-shows are normally non-refundable. This does not remove statutory cancellation rights or rights where the service is faulty, cancelled or not delivered. Read the full cancellation policy and booking terms before booking.
You will be told about the cancellation and offered a refund for the cancelled paid lesson, or an alternative if you choose one. You do not have to accept a replacement date. See the cancellation policy for the full details.
We’re preparing the first lessons. A session must be published and booking must be open before you can reserve a paid or free place. Join the launch waitlist to hear when bookings open. Our GCSE Maths revision guide is already free to read without signing up.
